Having galloped through the endless steppes of Russia, a Cossack warrior gathered around a campfire at nightfall with his fellow riders. He then came up with the idea of rubbing his leather boots with birch bark to make them waterproof. This diffused an extraordinary smell that immediately enchanted all of the riders.

An exceptional fragrance was immediately released into the air, as the riders all fell hopelessly in love with its incredible scent. A blend of vetiver and moss uplifted by a hint of musk, the Cuir de Russie scent conjures up the memory of a comforting wood fire.

This will prevent the formation of craters which are unattractive and make burning more difficult. The first time you light your candle, it will always burn for longer than on subsequent occasions. Allow time for the first layer of wax to liquefy completely. The length of time this takes varies depending on the size of the candle: a MAX10 candle will take 3 to 4 hours, a MAX16, 5 to 6 hours, and a MAX24, 8 to 10 hours.
