Founded in 1766 in a Parisian htel particulier on the banks of the Seine, Laprouse is oneof the citys oldest restaurants. In the nineteenth century, it was frequented by writers andartists such as Zola, Musset, Hugo, Balzac, Proust, Rodin, Colette, and Picasso, and wasalso known as a discreet meeting place for mistresses and courtesans. In 2018, Frenchinterior designer Laura Gonzalez completely reimagined Laprouse, building on its warmBaroque interior, rich past, and singular legacy.
